October was a pretty epic month of mountain biking.  Over 30,000 meters of climbing and descending and over 1,000km of trails ridden.  Four derailleur hangers lost to the rocks and one complete derailleur destroyed.

Bring on November!…

Blue sky with the odd cloud coming though.  Temperatures in the 25 to 30 degree range, pretty much perfect riding weather.

Beautiful weather here at the moment; 28 degrees, sunny with blue sky.

Still warm enough for a post ride dip on the pool but the water is definitely getting cooler.…

Some data from yesterday’s ride.

Distance – 44km.  Elevation gain – 1,745m.  Elevation loss on single track – 1,450m.  Time – 4hours 45 min.  Smiles – You bet.…

At last, the sudden drop in temperature that the end of August always brings.  Midday is hovering around 30 degrees, nice and cool in the shade.

After a long hot August we are looking forward to things cooling off a touch and getting out on the trails as much as possible.…

40 degrees in the shade for most of the day now, so not much riding going on for the next few weeks.
